The Great Gingerbread House-off of 2013

Every year in the Flynn house we have a tradition:

Ginger Bread Decoration Competition!!

This year was no different. All three couples had a chance to decorate the same house using the same decorations given in the box. (Except for my brother and his girlfriend who brought in some outside goodies)

Let the hunger games begin!!

In the end there were tears, (yes, mine) blood, and lots of words flying and SO MUCH TRASH-TALKING. But there was a mess as well.

And then we let FaceBook decide which house was the one to hold the title until next year.

Which one would you have picked? (From left to right 1,2, or 3)

1 was classy, 3 was drunk and 2 was the winner. Austin and I believe that the color blocking is what won it for us.

These fine Gingerbread houses (all expired in 2009) will be on display in the Flynn household for the foreseeable future.

It was another amazing experience all around and, luckily, none were killed in the process.

  1. I love my family traditions…. I may have made them, but I expect the fam to continue them on into the next era, whatever that may look like 🙂 hahahha any Flynn gathering that ends without stitches, broken bones or blood shed is a GOOD family gathering…. God bless us, everyone !
